Browsing X after the login wall
X's logged-out experience has become a dead end: profile links from search results bounce to a sign-up page, and embedded timelines broke for most sites. But public means public — accounts that haven't protected their posts still publish their profile card to the open web. This viewer brings back the quick, no-account profile check: journalists verifying a source, recruiters checking a candidate, or anyone who deleted their account but still needs to look something up.
Public data, honest limits
Protected accounts show only what X gives non-followers — the outline, never the posts. For programmatic access, the Twitter/X Profile API returns this card as JSON including verification type, and User Tweets pages through a public account's recent posts. How do I view a Twitter profile without an account?+
Type the username into the box above (with or without the @) and click View profile. The tool shows the account's public profile card: name, bio, followers, following, post count and verification badge. You don't sign in to X at any point.
Why can't I just open x.com without logging in?+
Since 2023 X sends most logged-out visitors to a sign-up page. That's a product decision, not a privacy setting: the profile card of a public account is still public, and that card is what this viewer reads.
Is this Twitter viewer anonymous?+
Yes. The lookup runs on our servers and no X account of yours is involved, so the account can't tell that you viewed their profile.
Do I need to log in to X?+
No. You don't sign in to X and you don't need an X account. The viewer reads the public profile card that X serves to logged-out visitors.
What data does the X profile viewer show?+

Can I see protected accounts?+
Only the basic card. Protected (private) accounts hide their posts from anyone who doesn't follow them, and no legitimate tool can get around that.
Can I read an account's posts too?+

How fresh is the data?+
Each profile is fetched from X when someone first looks it up. Repeat lookups come from a copy that refreshes about once a day, so follower counts can be roughly a day old.
